K—space is a 100m2 project space in the studio of graphic designer Katja van Stiphout, located on the 1st floor of Pakhuis Wilhelmina and a short distance from Amsterdam Central Station.

Pakhuis Wilhelmina is a unique cultural building on the banks of the IJ in Amsterdam. On 25 June 1988 a group of artists squatted Pakhuis Wilhelmina and since then it has developed into an alternative cultural platform consisting of 94 studios and public spaces. Pakhuis Wilhelmina is home to a wide variety of artists, which gives the building its unique character.

Pakhuis Wilhelmina, Amsterdam

K—space will host events and presentations about 4 times a year. The events can cover the following themes:

— New talents: Under the name of 'K—sment' (casement), K—space's aim is to provide a platform for young artists and designers to showcase their work.

— The Young and the Old: K—space presents the legacy of Pakhuis Wilhelmina. The artists who have worked here since the early years and without whom Pakhuis Wilhelmina would not be what it is today.

— Pop-up store: from time to time, K—space will serve as a pop-up store, selling books and multiples by artists and designers. The next edition will take place during Sail Amsterdam 2025 (theme: nautical art and objects).

If you have an idea for a presentation or event at K-space, don't hesitate to email info(at)k-space.nl.
